~My weight loss tips~
- fruit tea is an amazing way to stay hydrated! I like to make 1 or 2 pots a day (celestial seasonings blueberry or wild cherry berry, baby). plus it will warm you up (once you get below a certain weight you will always be cold). I drink at least a cup before breakfast bc I hate drinking lots of water in the morning. Just make sure you pick a decaf tea so that you’re not accidentally dehydrating yourself
- protein shakes are great. They will fill you up and give you lots of energy. My favorite brand of protein powder is optimum nutrition gold standard (any chocolate flavor). It’s 120 cals per serving and you just shake it with water. If you are working out you need to have at least one a day.
- protein bars are also a great filling snack and totally satisfy sugar/sweet cravings. Most are around 200 cals but will fill you up for a long time (my favs are RXbars, quest hero, oatmega, and power crunch). If you’re looking for one that’s even lower cal, quest cereal is 110 cal and super tasty. I like to throw a bar in my bag if I’m not eating breakfast at home or for an afternoon snack.
- I try to fast from around 8 pm to 12 pm the next day but sometimes I’ll eat breakfast before noon if I have something going on.
-ALWAYS EAT BREAKFAST OK
- oatmeal is the best breakfast. Fight me. 150 cals and you’ll be full for ages. But make sure you are using old fashioned oats!!! They taste so much better than instant oats. Instant oats are gross. I make my oatmeal on the stove with water, cinnamon, and a bit of brown sugar. The I microwave frozen blueberries and put them on top. It’s kind of like blueberry pie and is about 200 cal.
- eat healthy food! Don’t just count calories but eat lots of weird shit! Like I see posts on here that are like ‘dinner: ½ can of Campbell’s soup and 10 goldfish 250 cal.’ That is gross! Try to stay away from white flour, refined sugar, processed foods, and too much dairy. Eat lots of veggies!
- that being said, halo top/englightened ice cream can be absolute lifesavers if you’re craving sugar. Sometimes a girl needs to eat an entire pint of ice cream for dinner for 320 cals.
- gummy vitamins are 15 cals, help you stay healthy, and will brighten your day :)
- swap lattes for americanos or cold brew.
- buy a kitchen scale so you can measure your portions exactly
- I like to use MyNetDiary to log my intake (better than my fitness pal IMO). I log my food the night before because I find if I have a plan for the next day I’m less anxious and it makes me stick to it
- try not to drink. Late night drunk food and hangover meals are the devil, not to mention all the cals in alcoholic drinks. If you must drink, only drink tequila or vodka soda with lime. Fruity cocktails and beer are a hard no.
- not healthy but Diet Coke and juul get me thru the day sometimes
